All in all this is an awesome puzzle. Great consept and design, and the overall execution of this game leaves little to be desired. Music in this game gets very repeative, but it doesn't matter because of the mute option. I'll give this 4/5, only real thing it lacks is more and tougher levels. I want my puzzles to be mind-numbingly hard, since that gives much more satisfaction when completed. Also a personal note to the creator of this game: Make lots of sequels fast. This game will be plagiated because of its clever consept. Make people know that you came up with this before others. Seriously, this is the new sudoku right here.
The game itself is good, but could use a lot of polishing. For example, the dash ability goes pretty much to waste, since there are realy not enough gaps that could be crossed only with dashing. Also, do we realy need all those info signs around the game? Yeah, it'd be cool if there were enough of them to tell about new abilities and mage buffs, but some of the things in them were a bit obvious. It almost seems like you don't realy trust the audience, and frankly, it made me feel a bit offended. Also things like having to reassign a skill to a mage after every time I respawned got realy irritating realy fast.
Two things are very clear to me: This is an awesome game, and there needs to be a sequel. 4/5 because its fun/length ratio could be better (way too cool game to be this short.)
Fix the jump, or all these bad rewievs will scare all the players away.
What pushed me away from this game was that there is realy nothing original, exept the lockpicking wich I thought was a nice touch. The problem with lockpicking was that it realy didn't offer any challenge, so I didn't get why couldn't you just collect the coins. So this game is basicly a bad supermario copy, with a jump that doesn't work. 1/5 cuz it didn't look too bad.
This game is incredibly easy, exept for the red jellies level.
But the artwork, oh god how I love the artwork. The whole consept is a bit trippy, but man.... The graphics rule.
Yeah... I didn't completely hate the game.
I've seen this idea before in a ps1 game called rayman. So the idea is not original, the controls seem to be easy, as its just arrows or wasd, but somehow you managed to screw that up, so the gameplay sucks balls. Also this is one of these "artsy" games, that are made from a game into art by adding an annoying pianotrack (WITHOUT A FRIGGIN' MUTE BUTTON!!!) instead of your typical platformermusic, and then these out of context wannabe deep guotes or frases or whatchamacallem in between of levels.
I'll go asy on this one and give it a 1/5 because it managed to entertain me for a couple of minutes.
It's a nice game, but there are few bugs and typos that are a bit annoying.
One thing that bugged the crap out of me, was that no matter how much I spent on new troop upgrades, they never, and I do mean never, got palced on the field.
I was pretty bummed to see that the halloween expansion didn't include Zombies or Undead or (hurrdurrr vampires are undead) something like that as a new race. I dig the Pumpkins tho!
The game went a bit "blah" after I got the orion light cruiser, since I don't have to even lift my finger to destroy the bad guys. Maybe after a few levels this will change, I hope so.
Also, the music is a bit too starwarsy. I think something basic like drum n' bass would have been more fit for the game. Other than that I have nothing to complain about. It's a neat game. 7/10
Am I deaf dumb and blind or why can't I see any connection to the actual epic called "Kalevala"
(for those of you who don't have any idea what I'm talking about: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kalevala)
Otherwise a good game. Keep up the good work.
Also waiting for a sequel :)
This game is a solid mix of toss the turtle/learn to fly or any other launch game, and that armorgames game about that giraffe with rockets around its neck (what was its name..?)
The upgrading system wasn't deep enough for my taste, but I'm all about upgrades so it's not the games problem, it's my own.
Another thing that bugged me was that there was no crystals in the air, only on the ground so the player has to choose between getting score or staying alive.
Afterall it's a good launch game with a funky twist. keeps me entertained 4/5 or 7/10
A fine shooter with a nifty retro look. This game, even tho it uses mouse for aiming, is laptop/touchpad friendly. Not at all annoying soundtrack, witch is rare for games like these.
Not much to complain about, solid game!
This is a lot like learn to fly or shopping cart hero 1&2 but I'm not saying that its a bad thing.
I was wondering where did all my stuff go after every area, as I would always end up with that same portapotty that i had when i started. And another thing that annoyed me was in the second area, after every launch I would fly off in a very awkward position in wich I would be facin the water. It need a lot of improvement but it kept me very entertained for a while. Looking forward to a sequel. 3/5
Some player have pointed it out too, but you can change your army composition in Army menu on Map screen.
