TO THE DEVELOPER:
Good game, but needs more customization.
Let us create/customize our OWN ship and character. Maybe even allow us to draw our own ship/character.
Let's be honest here. No one can be bothered grinding up for hours just to get 'the best ship'.
Another reason why this would be good is because at the moment, our weapons are entirely based off the character that we choose... If we could create our own ship, we would be able to customize our own weapon.
Maybe even allow us to draw our own projectiles!
As well as this, let us customize how our weapon works... Is it homing? burst fire? Penetrating? Maybe give us a set of AP (ability points) to allocate them to certain abilities.
Maybe give us WP (weapon points) each time we level up to upgrade our weapon in a choice of attributes. Damage/speed/radius, etc. You can think of all that.
Anyways, hope you take my advice on board. It will increase the number of players.
