I don't feel at all sympathetic. Why should I? I walk in and they try to murder me. Hell, I never even get the option to not kill them. The monsters seem to just outright want to kill people, along with throwing terrain around (likely causing huge damage and earthquakes). So... why is it a bad thing I'm killing them, again?
The watcher had the seed the entire time? Da fuq? Why didn't he just give it to me and say "hey, stop it.” Or actually talk to me.
You got the seed bloodlessly! Congratulations! But wait, you got the seed, which means your Oracle master is going to simply kill you anyway. What's the difference again? Oh right, the watcher isn't dead, who... never speaks to you until AFTER you've completely annihilated every beast even after it's totally obvious what you're doing. And he just drops a single rock to block your path. Useless watcher better dead.
Shadows of the Colossus did it better.
Conclusion: Good basic concept, good gameplay, terrible writing and story.
Correction: Iron mode simply disallows certain upgrades (artillery costs decrease, cataclysm, a few others) and does not inform you that it does so.
Others still work, however.
Bug 1: If you use an exp+ item when doing defensive training, it counts the exp bonus twice.
Bug 2: If you use the summon companions ability and then use a power+ item, it glitches and allows you to do about 100x as much damage as you're supposed to. 212 damage becomes 21232 damage, allowing you to instantly kill anything in the game.
Commentary: the pink thing is the best monster in the game. disregard intelligence, make it into a murder machine.
The gatling guns don't work-I have sat there and watched as the bullets passed through my enemies and did zero damage.
Don't bother getting it. Garbage programming.
