You can use the explosives to enter Awk's house, too. Let's say that's the "easy" solution. But you don't need the explosives to open the cell in the abandoned brainfarm, so that's no glitch... you're simply missing out on a very important clue...
finally got the hard achievement along with all the others but took a long time so unless you're willing to spend some time on this game you won't get all the achievements
