If you click on chests/bags it tells you what's in it.

Only thing I find annoying is when I want to make a bigger elevator, I have to destroy the whole section rather than just the one I need.

@chrisDNA volume controls are in the pause menu.

If you can't even get past the menu screen... try using another browser, Chrome wouldn't let me play this game, but Opera seems to work fine.
