Super entertaining and I appreciate the dry wit. My only complaint is that in the ship design screen, the parts don't seem to line up perfectly. This is probably just my OCD talking, but I must have spent hours trying to perfectly situate every part I had. The grid to which these parts snap onto needs to be refined.
I really enjoy these "interpret-it-yourself" kind of games. The interpretation I had was one that I think many earlier commenters agree with. As you choose to obey, your world becomes more defined as it seems we are given a single perspective and ordered to believe it. If we choose to disobey, we make it easier to define reality ourselves, thus the dynamic pixels.
What surprised me was the obedient ending. It seems like the imaginary couple reach a happy ending, one with respect even, as you go from being a girl/boy to being a woman/man. You can appreciate the idea that when someone loves you, and you have a deep love for them, you will do everything in your power to appease them. Even though at times it may seem that they don't appreciate you, it is still possible that deep down they respect and admire you.
There are people out there who can suffer these "pits and barbs" in a relationship. To those people, and of course to the author of this game, I can only offer my applause.
Great game, I enjoyed it a lot.
However, you really need to add a feature that allows the player to end the round by hitting a key. You could apply the lowest multiplier, 25, and allow the round to end before the cat falls in a box. I was stuck with a cat too fat to fall thru the gaps on lvl. 13. I literally waited 10 minutes to see if he would fall thru, but once he by random chance happened to eat the 4th to last piece of sushi, I finally gave up.
Sucks, 'cause my score would have been astronomical...
