Clever game, original and pretty. I'm just not getting into it, though. Maybe it's because I'm just randomly thrown into places, or because the characters jump around. Or maybe because I'm forced to slaughter innocent yeti babies :P . But I'm not getting into it, or caring about the characters. // Also, I used the "metor" ability on the worm guy, on an enemy next to him. Killed myself with it, and now the game has no idea what to do :P. So the battle's stuck. Good times.
Wow, um...
If you level up, and you choose the "life up one level" option , and you're not full health... it just fills your health.
It doesn't actually increase your max health, like you'd expect... Oops.
Very cool game, btw.
Only giving it a 4/5 because of the frustration of fighting with the interface, which seems to accept mouse commands half the time but ignore them the other half.
Having pulled my saves from Mardek chapter 1, the savegame stuff seems all messed up. First it wouldn't let me save in a new slot... then I tried to overwrite, which failed the first time but seemed to take the second.
Now every time I try to save, it asks me if I want to create a new saveslot 1. If I do that, it overwrites my old save, but lets me access the save menu... and it tells me I can create a new saveslot 4, but it never really does it.
O.o
Pretty decent game.
Some suggestions:
Make it more clear what golden eggs do. I think they're score multipliers, but I don't recall seeing info on them in the tutorial.
Perhaps on the first or second level, make it clear that we won't be able to get to all the secret areas until we come back later, with certain equipment. The equipment upgrades themselves are a decent idea, though it leads to some repetition...
Begging for my email for an in-game code is kinda cheesy. I don't begrudge you it; I'm just not going to go for it.
Some parts of the game - e.g. fighting bugs while on the rolling logs - just brings up the worst part of platform games. That stuff's more annoying than fun.
Fun game... implementation could use some tweaks, though.
It looks like others have mentioned it, but there's no way I'm starting over after I die. Should restart before last round.
It seems the best thing to do would be to farm the first few levels for lots of cash before moving on. You almost get punished for being efficient with getting through things, since money is based entirely on how many enemies you kill. A fixed bonus when you finish each round might help with that.
The powerup descriptions are somewhat vague...
Fun game, though :)
Great little game.
It'd be even nicer if there were a truly relaxing Aquarium mode. I wasn't expecting all the baddies to be floating around. I just want to build my reef in peace!
Entertaining game. I can't quite tell if there's too much help/info given or not enough. I'm leaning towards there's too much, so I didn't read it, so it seems like not enough :p
