@thenameless2435 The only thing I can think of that would cause that is having your HFL consuming energy at 100%. Otherwise it's a bug. @keatondavidson offline progress should be indefinite. If your game is stopping at an hour or two it's a bug and you should report everything you can about it.
It's from the discord server, where the dev is incredibly active in responding to players and listening to them. They're incredibly loyal and hardworking, a lot more than most devs on kong seem to be. You're just looking at a very narrow view on how you expect them to act @JustinL637. This game was originally built in 9 days, on an incredibly limited engine. If you want more advanced features, that requires a rewrite on a new engine. Which means you might as well start the next game since you're rewriting anyway and improve upon everything all at once. If you want dev engagement look at the discord server in the game description.
To those wondering about whether this game is abandoned; short answer yes, long answer no. Dev is working on an Idle RPG 2, the idea being it is easier to overhaul the required systems from a clean slate than it is to patch the game into being what their vision is. Take the good parts, discard the bad, and make it new. There is a recommended FPS fix patch available from the discord guide, otherwise buckle up for the wait for next update being in the form of a new game.
AFAIK: Ascension is only dependent on your current distance, 3000kpx reached is where you get your first three points, this increases to 10 UP at 8000kpx. It's simply if you die above the distance threshold, you have the option to ascend upon death. (If you do have idle mode on, it'll automatically choose retain, and so you'll have to work your way back up to that distance, so don't do that, but doesn't matter if it's on or not to get to that distance)
