And so the "Church of Anime" is born. May "Kanna-tan" be watching over us as we work diligently under the guidance of the "Ota-kingus".
"All hail the waifus"!
Part 2:
For the homescreen you might want to use a larger or different font as it'll be easier to read (eg. your name).
Also using warmer colors and making the design pop more would be great as it'll add to the game as well.
Considering that this is just a demo, I won't complain about the lack of levels. ;)
It has a great concept and it's okay in terms of challenge (was stuck on level 14 yesterday, but finished the last two levels rather quickly today).
I like the mechanic with the different colors, but if you'd be implementing more in later levels (as well as bigger levels) a "note" or "memory" function as "den3107" has pointed out would be really helpful, especially if one could color code those numbers.
The music adds to it as it helps to concentrate but muting it as pointed out by "SomethingDark" (besides muting the tab or browser altogether) would be great as well, especially if you're used to listen to your own music.
Having movement in the background is also nice, as it's more pleasing than a flat one, however it's so subtle that I didn't notice it until the very last games so changing the hue to have a little bit more contrast might be a neat idea.
Thanks for your help. Yes, i need to make a few changes concerning background colors (at least in this web demo). I will release it as a desktop game (at least for now) and in my tests it works, we can see well the background movement and all. For some reason colors don't translate well to this web version...
I will add a mute button to this demo as i said before, but the full game will obviouly have all volume sliders (music, ambient and sound fx).
I'm still thinking how can i implement the "note" feature and keep it simple/clean at the same time. I don't want it to appear complicated..
I must agree with the other posters.
I loved Upgrade Complete 1 and liked the sequel, so I was pretty hyped when I saw the 3rd installment. But it got too easy too fast...
I don't mind the shift from top down shooter to a defense, and I liked the artwork, but the camera wasn't helpful and the difficulty isn't what it used to be (even with the weapons depending on the lifebar later on).
So....for me it's a 3/5.
Warmer colors are probably a good idea. Thanks once again...
