The rating I gave the game went from five to three stars. Got lucky at the beginning, was able to prepare and build up sweet combos during fights. Having fought ten battles in a row now during which I got combos of 3 at most and usually in colors I couldn't use at that time of the battle even though I'm playing strategically, I feel trolled by the grid. Nice concept, but WAY too luck dependant; the grid randomization algorithm could use some thought and work rather than being thoroughly random.
My ass...I was like "Finally, background music - not as boring anymore." when buying the upgrade...but then, I was like "NOOOOO...TURN THAT OFF...I hate you."
And I'm still playing this, without any idea why I'm doing this to me. Sigh.
Standing still for 12 seconds requires pretty much a lame trick. At the beginning of the game, watch the right border. It can happen that a block sticks out there. If you watch carefully, you'll find that no block will land at that place. If you're lucky (i.e. the first piece that drops is one that creates said ledge) and quick enough in reaching that spot, you can survive for 12 seconds standing still before the red line reaches you.
The description is a lie! As there's only a finite number of permutations of matrices that satisfies the required characteristics to be a sudoku, there's only a finite number of possible sudokus that can be generated!
3 stars from me. The regular game is very entertaining, and I love the theme, but, hey. Did you have to simulate the survivability of a mere mortal that goes too far in Call of Cthulhu in the Challenge mode? Honestly, in the pen & paper, that's alright, but this is a card game...and the most irritating one I've ever played.
Uhh...wait.
Didn't the game's description say FAMOUS cities?
...I think you got my criticism. Even if the majority of those cities are capital cities (which I don't know), you should also make sure that you also use well-known COUNTRIES as well...
Stupid challange for a card, caught me flat-footed. This game shows how much geography classes in Germany have failed - it's more economy and greensense than geography, and here, you need REAL geography knowledge...
