This game is pretty good, and though I know it's traditional to have to start things over, seeing as how you can get badly screwed when starting up, I would rather have the ability to revive and save so I could continue a game that is going well.
This game is way too hard for the badge levels. Unlocking songs has far too stringent requirements and I would never play this if not for the quest. I think it has potential to have been fun, but I find it to be one of the least enjoyable games of this style I have ever played. With no real feedback on when buttons enter the target zone, it's really hard to regain your pacing if you ever lose it. Also it's frustrating that when you are trying to learn there is only one easy song. Difficulty curve on amateur is just atrociously poorly thought out. There should be at least 3 songs in the easy category, at the least for variety when you are learning.
When I saw it was released April 1st I was afraid it would be a joke and actually be terrible, but this was a brilliant little game! Adding a sliding puzzle to a platformer was something I would have never imagined, but the two elements work so well together.
This is probably the game I'm playing the most that I don't even particularly enjoy. It's kind of unfairly difficult and yet you want to complete the tasks at hand.
It would have been nice if you could upgrade yourself a bit earlier and also had a means of checking out the rewards before purchase, like a confirm system or something.
How do you fight anything? The controls aren't intuitive at the least. None of the buttons you would suspect would do something seem to do anything, and there's no write up on them in any of the text that surrounds the game. I hate it when they do that.
I think you missed the point of why people suggested a life system in your previous effort. They meant like, you have 3 or so lives to complete a stage without having to restart that stage, not that the game should be limited to three lives... Losing all your progress and having to redo every difficult jump if you ever die once makes more for irritation than an entertaining challenge. It's also really boring because people generally don't want to retread, retread, retread.
This game was kind of terrible. With the hard limit to the number of fish and therefore money you can get, it's pretty easy to be screwed over by events you can't control and not be able to afford the final rod. It's not really interesting or compelling enough to want to play again either.
