After winning some battles, I can offer peace to a nation and get 4 cities + a capital with a wonder without offering anything in exchange.
I shouldn't have exploited this but it happened more than once.
Instead of having cats/childrens/etc giving +1 -1 every day, you could speed up the new events and don't repeat those useless events more than 4-5 times, the game becomes long and boring without any reason.
