Maybe I'm missing something, but the Doom Fire challenge was absolutely terrible. The flamethrower can't kill the snipers fast enough even if you get them at close range, and at least for me it keeps randomly suiciding you, so the only course of action left was to get sniper kills one at a time and then wait to die.
