I just want to encourage everyone to give this game a chance. Just ignore the horrible dialogue and focus on the battles. Difficulty and strategy pick up after about level 7 with new units, more skills and harder enemies. Also, i found it quite interesting to "learn" what skills to use against what enemies over time instead of being fed with raw numbers.
some small improvements could have made the experience a lot better. details like a little hint here and there (there's something shimmering in the waters / leave room to get the cat to move) or general text-issues (why would i want to make the horse white before talking to the 'guy', why wouldn't the guard let me pass when i showed him the stamped permit in dialog instead of directly) etc. other than that, nice game.
I'm confused about the exact requirements for some of the achievements. then again, i shouldn't care about that too much since this game seems to be over soon. good one, tho
There seems to be a problem (at least on slower machines, aka mine) with too many enemies on the screen. if i let them spawn for how-long-it-takes-me-to-make-maybe-two-or-three-walks-round-the-screen it's not exactly lagging but mouse and keyboard are responding very slow.
solution could be to make waves enemy-dependant, not kills.
The Game froze for me, too... BUT continued when i built a Bathroom on top of an elevator thus gaining an achievement.
no idea what of those three resumed things, but i thought i'd share anyways
this is really unplayable for me. even on low quality my keystrokes seem to lag so i can't even land the simplest jumps where i want them to, not to mention battling enemies while being shot at :(
very easy to play through, but somewhat hypnotic with the music and how the game feels.
i'd like some treasure-o2-combination that are a one-try only for the sequel. or generally more strategic o2 usage. maybe some trasures you barely can't reach at first combined with some penalty for dying.
