not to nitpick, but how exactly do the eels lower the score in the arcade version of the fishing minigame as soon as the cursor hovers over them? I'm not even throwing the harpoon at them! Am I supposed to infer that the eels hypnotically command the player character to throw a harpoon at them as soon as his eyes hover over them? I guess if the only danger was the player accidentally clicking them it would be too easy.
A 'tutorial' is the name used for any instance of a game wherein the developer (or a proxy such as an NPC) teaches the player about the mechanics of the game. The ideal tutorial is subtle, yet obvious, putting the player in a situation where they cannot help but arrive at an solution which involves the new mechanic to be learned. Of course, sometimes developers forget to tutorialize the player, such as in the 2019 game Greedy Mimic, where the game has a mechanic where you can cancel out of the effect of eating a bat, but this is never properly taught to the player by a dedicated level, resulting in confusion when it is one of a series of steps required to beat the final level.
Why does the game seem to stop making boss fights happen once you beat the dark guitar maniac? I had to reset my progress 3 times now because of that...
I beat the game and then clicked on the premium content to see what it was, but then i just got this weird still image. is that supposed to happen?
Well, there's no way i'm playing this ridiculously dull game again, but still, just want to make sure I did beat it the right way...
Amazing game, one of the best and most addicting in the Souls series of Flash Games.
Just be careful not to spend your entire day playing, 'cause this one's a time vampire!
