All right. I don't have that big of a problem with the clutter. It does slow down my computer and make it hard to see the character, sure. I have a bigger problem with the game not being as challenging as it needs to be. I went for max level and after completing an objective I would try to kill myself. It gets hard to do that even then. The hard badge is one of easier ones. Also, getting to level 40 after level 36/37 is infuriatingly slow because you can only complete one objective at a time (the 3-star and 1-star ones ran out for me). And what is my reward for spending my time? I get the Tesla Gun but I have no stages or challenges that I still need to complete, and I can't even have it as my default.
Pros: arcade-like feel, good music, fun side-scroller
Cons: Upgrades, objectives need work (Why do I have to wait until a certain level to even buy them? I'm sitting on 300,000 here!). I would like to see a more challenging game. 4/5
I was about to have a fit like other people over these walls. I wouldn't say they were infuriating as much as they were a dissatisfier. Then I saw that it was a game made in 72 hours. Nice soundtrack and simple mechanics. The art is really this game's strengths. Anyone looking for an original story, natural feeling challenges, etc. needs to look elsewhere. It's just exceedingly hard to do in such a small timeframe.
It would have been nice to have another "Will to..." power-up. My rules-of-three radar was going crazy.
