Fun game, but i think it may be able to benefit from a pause button, unless im missing one already there.

Is there a way we could use conveyors to connect components that are right next to each other by chance? It would save alot of space for them.
nope... Will not add it either, sorry. As it would ruin game logic - to build conveyors nicely.
