@CheezezbergrPls And I thought losing 70% was bad! I mean, if we at least had a little warning-hey guys, rebalancing red shards from gold collected much lower, update releases in a week-we'd have a little time to farm the challenges first. As it is, it's painful enough that I might not make it back to Trillion challenge for a while...

Figures I would ascend the day the recalc goes live, think that my shards just happened to be unaffected, spend a day on my new ascension, and then suddenly find out I only have 30% of the red shards I thought I had. Whatever, I'll go play on my previous save prior to ascension until you figure out what you want to actually do with red shards. I love the system, but the recalc feels a little arbitrary. Even though I understand the point was to make the challenges more important, I think we've maybe gone too far in the other direction.

I'm not finding it nearly as difficult as the last few commenters, and I only had about 20k shards (not a huge amount really, that's from /four/ Endless runs, albeit on a much older patch) to start with. It's definitely taking a few days to get back on track, but aside from learning the hard way not to attempt Trillion right now, I'm honestly finding it fairly enjoyable.

So I was going to comment that Injection 3 is missing but then I found it; it seems to have moved from 116M to 4.48B. Curious what the reasoning for that was. And it's seriously going to mess with my 1B challenge personal times, heh.

Previous message was incorrect; it was 1.11m rather than 11m, but point still stands. Also, possible issue from 1.09: Doubling possible skills from 10 to 20 means chance of getting a given skill in a roll goes from 30% to 15%. Given the nature of the growth of the reroll cost (and that collection and detonation were likely accounted for in the rebalancing of skill cost), presenting 5 bonuses at once to allow for a 25% chance of getting a particular bonus seems ideal. Alternatively, it might be worth considering either giving a free reroll per completed (non-endless) challenge, OR perhaps having the reroll cost go down by 1 after each (non-endless) challenge. This would both allow a mechanism to reduce reroll cost (which doesn't exist right now), while incentivizing challenges other than Endless, and thus offering a scenario with a lower overall shard income, in exchange for a benefit. Thanks for the great game.

Loving how enrichment is actually useful now, even if it is slightly annoying that it only uses whole multipliers. Can't say I'm happy about no longer being able to sell buildings. But the real kick in the teeth is that now reducing the cost of buildings is insane; 2% costs 11k, 3% costs 11m, and I don't have enough shards to see beyond that. I get that it's literally the most powerful skill and it definitely used to be too cheap, but now it's arguably too expensive to ever bother with (after the first level, at least). I feel like having a skill that you never level is just as bad, if not worse, than having a skill that you always max before anything else. Just my two cents.

@sylarias GPC multipliers do apply to injection, but do not apply to enrichment. Last I checked, anyway. It would make more sense for them to apply to both, but on the other hand, that might make enrichment too powerful late game (even though early and midgame it would finally be worthwhile).

Despite not being at anywhere near @Ameliaa's GPS/GPC/shard level yet, the mine change seems mostly positive to me. For one, it affects the base production now, which means that the mine researches that multiply base production aren't completely worthless. Secondly, it makes critical hits more valuable, and hence makes the decision of whether to wear crit artifacts actually an important and game-affecting choice.

@Valzor My understanding is that it is (log base 2 of your GPS) ^ 3, rather than log base 2 of (your GPS ^ 3). Thus far my results indicate this is the case, and as double or triple the binary log would be completely worthless for that price, I'm inclined to believe it is supposed to be the way that it is. I would agree that perhaps the description might be a little clearer in that regard, though.

Would love to be able to see 1) my bonuses purchased via shards while ingame or better yet 2) my actual total bonuses including both global and upgrades purchased thus far that game (crit chance, crit power, time, etc) while ingame. Especially since I'm not sure what base crit chance is. And I haven't sat down and timed things yet, but I'm also not clear if partial seconds in cooldown reduction matter, or if it's always an integer. Really enjoyable game though.

Well, my dumb ass forgot to click export before trying for the umpteenth time to reload, select my alt char, go back to char select, and then select my main char, in order to try to get around the damn welcome bug (this worked before and caused me no problems so wasn't expecting it to go screwy). Now my level 65 dude with multiple cards and multiple gears and over a million zeny has been replaced by a duplicate of my level 12 novice. Sorry bro, I'm done.

@florin2010 You can't unslot cards yet, and he may or may not choose to implement that particular NPC. I'd assume no and be happy if he does. Go to payon field 02 and hunt wolves; they drop slotted mantles, which are 4 defense. Other people have suggested the novice/super novice gear set, but since set bonuses aren't working right now, and you won't be able to use that gear anymore once you change class (when we get class changes), I'd prefer to put it in something that all classes can wear. Waiting for full plate is a bad idea; you can't kill anything that drops the slotted version, the slotting NPC isn't in and may not be put in, and add to that, you can't wear full plate since it's swordsman-classes only.

Florin, you can't equip the spear because spears are swordsman-classes only, and we don't have classes yet. Similarly, those who have complained about katars being unequippable are attempting to equip assassin-class only weapons. You'll need to be level 24 for a damascus (dagger, in Morocc) or level 27 for a tsurugi (sword, in Prontera).

Ventoooze: Max 99 base stat. And taking it that high is a waste of points for melee characters; at level 99 (max base level) you have exactly enough points for 99 in two stats, 9 in your third starting stat, and 1 in the rest. (Dex 99 can be worthwhile as hunter and wizard, int 99 can be viable as wizard, sage, priest.)

Chibi: 3000 / (200-aspd) = attacks per minute. Hence 50 / (200-aspd) = attacks per second. The difference between sword aspd and dagger aspd isn't that significant, though, so you probably want to look at raw damage. Tsurugi is sword and has 75% sizemod on small, 100% on medium, and 75% on large. Damascus is dagger and has 100% sizemod on small, 75% on medium, and 50% on large. Thus, damascus is always better on small monsters, likely worse on all medium monsters, and always worse on large monsters.

Yeah ventoooze, there's a memory leak, you probably want to close and reopen the page at least once per 3 or 4 hours (more if it's still noticeable), and definitely when you wake up in the morning if you've left it on overnight. Doing it that way, it hasn't really interfered with my stuff that much, but YMMV of course, depending on how demanding what you're doing is.
