Smart move: Get the first team member, then get the 2nd one's quest. complete the quest, and when the 1st team member dies, go finish the quest with the 2nd one!

Great. My teamate got downed, A horde came through the roof, and there were 3 dogs eating at my feet. And so I die, but i also lose my teamate!?!? WTF D:

To get your teamate back up: Save and quit to the title, then reload the save file. They should be back up on their feet.

I started round 46 on the lollipop map and no balloons came.
