I have upgraded my Focus about five times with the help of secret areas. I have completed Normal Mode twice, the second time I cleared all my data beforehand. Where are my achievements.
I killed the Grinning Colossus by burning the rope. Then I killed him in some sort of shoot-em-up. Now I have to fight his twin brother. Imagine if we had to fight BOTH of them.
A great game overall- technically better than the original- but I do miss the original soundtrack. It was upbeat and unbelievably awesome. Best music I've heard in an arcade game.
While I definitely DO like this boss fight, I don't approve of the black-and-white thing it's got going on. In a bullet hell shooter, you have projectiles flying everywhere and the black and white clashes very often and it becomes an eyesore.
I like this game. A lot.
However, I do feel that the overabundance of Deus Ex Machina is an overall bad point for the plot.
In any event, danond, thank you. For making this game.
Astrojacker, did you mean that as a 'why is this lowlife on kongregate' insult or as a 'why isn't this guy replacing Gabe Newell as we speak' compliment?
I also enjoy this game, although the soundtrack doesn't make me feel spirited. It'd work well if there was a dark story, but there's nothing going on story wise.
Also, does the robot have a name?
This is a brilliant idea; I'm glad we're all in agreement here. One aspect that does annoy me, however, is that even when the corridors line up, you can't progress right through; you have to navigate the puzzles in a vague unspecified order, which I call cheating.
One of my criticisms is that some of the puzzles require split-second reaction timing to finish on the first go. This is not a good thing for a puzzle game like this.
Would be painful indeed.
