This is really and truly terrible. I have no idea what is going on. Nothing is intuitive, there's no way to actually see what your HP is like in combat so it seems like you lose at an arbitrary point, the menus are impossible to navigate, and I have no actual reason to want to keep playing. I have no idea what the hell my "curse" power actually does or why it takes an hour to refresh. I have no clue where to learn new powers. I have no clue about anything. In summation: This game is terrible at communicating with the person playing it and I recommend you skip it entirely.
So... this game is nowhere near as good as the previous installments. It's much more frustrating to get anywhere, for one; the elevators are less powerful in some ways but more powerful in others. Jumping is buggy and slow; you can only midair jump after you've started with a jump, not if you fall, which is a bit odd. Pathing sucks. Achievements sometimes simply don't work. Some of the achievements are just way more frustrating than in past installments - the firestarting ones, for example. The areas are kind of dull and take too long to get to. The tubes are awkward.
It was still fun, but not what I expected out of the Achievement Unlocked series. Alas.
Oh god yes. I've been hoping for but never expecting William and Sly 2. The first one was just perfect, utterly simple controls and premise that nonetheless refused to let me go and the sequel has so far done the same. I love it.
@#$% these hedges. They are the most ludicrous fake difficulty I've seen in awhile, especially when you're firing freaking MISSILES at them and you are still firmly attached. The fact that it's basically impossible to avoid them in the later levels is just the bloody icing on the rotting corpse cake.
Poor kitty... You mean robot. He was so loyal! He helped you get Puppy! It's not his fault that cats eat fish. Maybe you should have put Fishy in a better tank.
Fun, but has a tendency to stick and not register that I've pressed the Jump button.
Happens with mouse, spacebar, and up key, so I don't think it's just my computer.
