The enemy difficulty levels need to be completely reworked. A higher difficulty should be harder to beat than a lower difficulty. For example, I could beat the first level's "difficulty 14" long before I could beat the third level's "difficulty 9".
I see two main things that would improve this game. The first is pausing the first wave until we are ready. Almost every time I entered a map I would look around and figure out were to place defenses, and then restart the map. The second thing is change how the cities are attacked. Most of the time the city would lose and my resources pillaged, even if I committed resources to help protect it.
It was difficult until I realized you can shoot fireballs when flying, then it became much easier. So much easier that I could hold off the unending wave indefinitely. This game would benefit from more variety with enemies, multiple levels, an upgrade tree, and more abilities (like slash attack, many bites in succession, swooping down and grabbing someone). Working in a story line would also be great. You should also ramp up the difficulty more gradually. I loved playing as a dragon and it has a pretty good core game play. Add more features and polish it up a bit and this could be a really great game.
Well, I managed to find the dome and survive. The best advice I can give is to note where the domes are before you crash. This gives a rough idea of where they are. Then, pick an angle off the two trees and go straight until you find a tree or die.
The game needs some work. I fell off the map when I picked an angle that was a little too far to the right of the intact dome. It was frustrating to find domes and not even have a hint of where you are in relation to anything. It also would have been nice to see my spaceship to maybe figure out the angle I crashed in relation to the domes I saw on the surface. Could have used a statement after the crash scene. Something like "I have to find shelter before I freeze. Maybe I can use one of those domes I saw before I crashed."
You get points for trying something different. The graphics looked nice and the music fit the setting. The trees were a nice touch to make it easier to find a dome.
