You may have noticed. The Sacred Seasons forums are spammed to death. As it stands, dozens of spam accounts are created every hour, and hundreds of spam posts. The moderator team, or at least those modded on forums, can do nothing about it. Okay, maybe a 24 hour round the clock spam clearing person. Not going to happen. The forums as it stands, are done. Sorry. If there is wider interest, I'm happy to create an unofficial player forum, to be jointly modded and administered by active Sacred Seasons 1 and 2 moderators. Let me know if this appeals.
Sacred Seasons was good. It had the potential to be awesome, And it's a shame that never happened. Oh well. Looks like it's offline forever now. So long folks.
People, at the time of posting, lots of you may have experienced a mass boot, quirks in the game (mobs not attacking), and now the game just not loading atall.
My best estimate is that the server or servers on which the game is hosted has or have gone down. I'm as frustrated as you are, and would ask you to remain calm and check back later to see if it's back up.
In the meantime, here is some soothing music.
It may be inspired by Elite, but is still very, very good. Am doing a project to collate the map, weapons/equipment data and maybe do some strategy guides. The work in progress is at http://argos.ipbfree.com/index.php?act=idx. Come by if you want to see / contribute.
801 kills in a day, even at a fairly average kill rate of 150/hour, is perfectly possible. i've seen people killing a lot faster than that. besides, 60,001 kills in one day?...
"Due to hackers ruining everything, SF:DG is now single player only and will remain here for badge purposes." But it's still an excellent game, even in single player only.
Tox - do courier missions in a quick ship, and then get killing in a nymph or alien equivalent. And buy more lives at a space station. Read Jester's guide at http://jestertrek.com/starfighter/, and/or ask for advice in chat.
5/5. A simple idea, very well-executed. Full marks to the programmers and designers. Hint - get the money sack first, then weapons, armour and vampiric mask. And then spam them with as many wizards/knights, extra creeps as you can.
Took me 3 tries, but eventually beat it. Key is to build resources - mines, farms, etc; enough houses to keep the workers in, and enough resources to buy and feed your army. Early on, run away from any open field battles until your generals are levelled. An intriguing and very well-executed game, sadly lacking in replay value.
i've often wondered why mcluvvin's been consistently criticising a game he's been "playing" for so long - either ingraciousness (putting it mildly), or does he have an agenda we don't know about?...
This game is still fantastic fun... even the SP version is far superior to any other flash-based free roaming (and saveable) shooter. Oh, and before I forget, a new human gang called the New World Order has started up in S11-17. Toodle pip!
