2/5. One star for smooth UI, one for amusing characters / powerups. But...the gameplay is boring. No challenge, no plot, no setting, and no interesting features -- just jump around on some platforms and slowly pump 8 bullets into each lizard-thing. Woo.

The gun spawned right next to the wall and I couldn't pick it up. :(

reload, damage, shield, and regenerate totally dominate everything else -- i beat level 5 literally without hitting any keys after the level started

Beautiful game, smooth play, but missing...something. One more feature. Maybe 3-D rotation, maybe pieces that get larger (5 blocks, 6 blocks) in higher levels, maybe a way to clear a whole layer of spherical crust at a time...but right now even aside from whether there's a timer the overall feel is too slow for me. 3.5/5.

Thank you! There will be more features soon! More game modes and powerups and stuff. There will be one zen-mode where the goal is to clear out the entire orb and one mode that is time based and more action-y with bombs and stuff. =)

Wow! Original mechanic, heart-pounding gameplay, interesting choice of upgrades, and truly *exponential* power increases with correspondingly more difficult enemies. Awesome graphics too. I'm really stingy, but this gets 5/5 for sure.

Nice graphics, solid UI, potentially interesting plot. I want to see Rachel interact more; it'd be more fun if sometimes you had to protect her from aliens or she could help protect you from aliens. Also, the game really needs some terrain -- there's like 20 screens of real estate, but they're all flat and featureless, so I wind up just staying put unless I'm running away from something. Where are the rocks? The canyons? The lakes, maybe? If there's nothing to take cover behind and nowhere to get trapped then the character doesn't even really need to be able to move.

Cool game! Like the way you mixed GalCon with a grid. Clear graphics. Needs some kind of multiple-selection capability (e.g. shift-click or right-click to drag all troops that pass over your mouse) and some more features. 4/5.
