This is a real gem. The combination of a few fairly simple ideas - weapons with different damage areas, interactive arenas, grabbing and throwing, the 'Shove' mechanic - gives a fantastic amount of flexibility. In some turn-based strategy the 'strategy' is always 'hit your opponents repeatedly while healing', but there's something incredibly satisfying here about using a weak character to drop a crate (or a roast pig) on an enemy so he turns round and presents his back to your guy with Backstab, or luring three monks under the same bookcase. The secrets reward you for paying attention, the dialogue's fun, and the difficulty level seems to me about right. Very much looking forward to Ch. 2! (My only warning about the Mockery skill - which is just as useful as everyone says - is that it's not foolproof: a couple of times I used Mockery to distract enemies from a wounded character, and they ended up attacking the character anyway because he/she was between them and Tevoran.)

All I can say is, after the extended sequence I just filmed in which an antique car trampolines around inside an exploding castle full of rabbits for about ten minutes straight, I really want to see Wonder World 2.

Great fun, although a bit odd - by day 80 on Realistic there were 50,000 people left on the planet and my disease had an average death rate of over 50m/day. Those 50,000 then took another 48 days to die. Tenacious little sods.
