When 35,000 people earn an "easy" badge but only 3,000 earn a "medium" badge in the same game....that's a symptom of a problem in the game. The game is a brilliant concept, but too many problems in the game make it unplayable.
I finally had to quit this game and give up. Too many bugs, slows my computer too much, and instructions are ambiguous, not to mention the grammar! When trying to achieve the reward for low popularity this game punishes brutally. The achieve says I have to keep popularity below 5% for 3 days....when I do it and build back the shop I still have a 0% popularity even after an additional 7 days. In response the customers don't show up and no money is generated. This equals a very boring game. In two countries I still couldn't figure out how to get above 89% popularity, so the game "stalls"...I get no hints, no more booths get unlocked, and I'm unable to accomplish any missions. Again, the game stalls and becomes boring and frustrating. It's a fantastic concept, but needs a lot of tweaking.
Some shots on the green are impossible because of ball placement, no matter how hard the swing or the accuracy the ball will miss. Also, some fairway shots require a steep angle which takes the mouse off the screen, again, making the shot impossible. This is not Nuke's best game...a little disappointing actually.
I'm going to start writing my Yelp reviews of restaurants IRL the way Papa's customers treat me in the game. "Even though the restaurant offered me free video games, coffee, newspapers, and log chopping while I waited I still had to wait 30 freakin' seconds to place my order! The meal was grossly overcooked by 4 seconds (I'm a connoisseur, I can tell these things!) And the sauce? Good Lord!! They mixed it too much sideways and not NEARLY enough longways! And I specifically ordered all my food on the left side of the plate with 4 french fries evenly placed all around the plate...what did I get? Meat on the RIGHT side of the plate and french fries that were 5 degrees displaced. I gave the one kid who handled my entire experience $2.50 in tips for my ruined experience. But I will return tomorrow! :) "
OK guys, here's how were going to move all this stuff. That bridge doesn't look very stable, so let's all walk across it at the same time. And for god's sake make sure the elephant you're pushing bounces!
If the game had gone any longer I just know I'd have to shoot Diana, especially when she started asking me to bring home groceries! Dangit, that's HER job!!
If I'm going to be dating an "attractive girl" and send her flowers (which will tick off my teammates) and let her borrow my expensive sports car, I expect to see at least a picture of her!! :)
I love the "Papa" series of games. Having played all of them I've started acting like some of these patrons in the game whenever I go to restaurants. When my waiter asks me how everything is I'll say something like "this meal was cooked magnificently! Amazing taste. But the food wasn't perfectly centered on the plate, and the toppings weren't put in the exact order I had specified, so....meh".
Note to self: it's good to charge at a guy who's holding a 30-06 while I'm holding a sword...I'll be able to take 3 shots to the face at point-blank range and still win the fight.
I achieved the DREAM 5 STAR HOTEL.....400 Presidential suites, and 1 elevator shaft! You want to complain about a lack of elevators, by God I'll give you something to complain about!!
I love it.......105 rooms on 49 floors with 25 elevators (that's approximately 1 elevator for every 4 rooms!!) And someone still complains about the lack of elevators!! LOL.
I'm getting a consistent bug. On the Bonus Map (the Badge of the Day today) the enemy will take his first round of creating weaponry, move that weaponry to position, and the game freezes...it won't let me have control to take my turn. Disappointing considering this is the BOTD.
Me: "I hope I can get this last level, it's getting challenging" Game: "Well done, you've completed 30 levels" Me: "WOOT.....heeeeeey, where's my acheivement?" (**clicks on achievements tab**) Game: "You aquired this badge on Feb 16, 2010 Me: "D'OH!!!"
One thing about this game is in between stages, when buying upgrades. There needs to be a method to purchase partial repair to the temple. When you have to pay 100% of the repair or get none it gives the game an unfair advantage.
