This would be fun, but the balance of the ships is really out of whack-- most of the time the galleons are ridiculously powerful, and yet the critical hit of an enemy sloop can demolish your fortress or galleon in a single hit.
Makes the game very frustrating... not difficult, just frustrating.
It's like Age of Empires on a low budget...
This game is generally really great, but Pacifist Mode ruins PvP. I understand not wanting to participate in PvP during your early levels-- I, too, clicked "Yes" when offered pacifist mode. The problem is that so did everyone else, and the only way to shut off pacifist mode is to attack someone, but everyone is in pacifist mode... totally locked down. Over. Dead on arrival.
Nice idea, but the physics engine needs work. Your mouse turning is really useless, leaving the computer bots dramatically more mobile than you. This, coupled with an impossibly sloped pay-scale for parts makes it difficult to get past the first 5-6 levels.
You continue to gain experience but do not level past 20.
Items can be used after death, but have no effect, therefor you are sometimes suddenly wasting an item when trying to up your HP before you die.
Having your mount change random;y during the last fight does not make it more fun, or more interesting. It makes all your prior strategy and prep worthless, and makes the designer seem pretty dumb.
