Hate to sound petty but to illustrate my point - Pluto = 18666 miles travelled in the game, to anyone remotely interested in Astronomy this is completely nonsensical. Pluto is actually approx 7.5 billion km (4.7 billion miles) away from Earth.
Rockets need to reach approx 29000 km/h (18k mph) just to get out of Earths atmosphere
Good game but I finished it with bows only. I find melee kinda boring, would have been nice to focus on more types of arrows (multi arrow, explosive, freezing etc). A solid 4/5 but I preferred decision 2.
I don't give out many 5 star ratings, but you got 1 for this. Kudos for a great game, ran very smoothly, very few bugs (though I should mention, while terraforming if I exit fullscreen by pressing escape by accident - it then puts terraform targets wherever I mouseover without me clicking). Just a pity it's short, I understand we can buy the full version and I would but I'm sick and people at work have my steamID so I don't want them to see me online -.-. Will surely get it through steam another time though.
Nice concept but balance lets it down. Melee need to be more tanky for both the enemy and players, then we might see a bit more variation instead of just archers and wizards.
Not bad but needs alot of work... The coins and gems could be alot smaller so it does not clutter the screen. The character disappearing at the top of the screen is also annoying when trying to stay on the top platforms. We should be able to select our old weapons. For instance I finished the game when I still had the Gatling Gun and Stage 3 was really easy to farm. Then I leveled and purchased the Acid Gun and it actually made the Hunt 3 challange much harder to complete. Leveling and the achievement system also needs work. I finished the game around level 20, before I could equip the Acid Gun or purchase the Flame Gun, then I had to do 'old' achievements to progress and see more content even though I had pretty much already finished the game. So that kinda just left half of the features useless to me as I don't want to play a grind fest for a few hours just to see the other guns, I have Diablo III for that.
The game isnt really to my taste, just a bunch of numbers really. Nothing visually exciting. Brings about the same joy as punching 5318008 into a calculator and turning it upside down... It gets boring really fast
Positive: Has potential, overall sortof appealing in a nostalgic way.. sortof //
Negative: Old UI design is extremely tiresome and isn't used anymore for good reason, quest tracking and finding the NPC's is even more tiresome, combat is bland, lack of character specialization - I say this because I've only played for 10 min an so far it seems like I need to switch weapons in a very annoying way, do away with the arrows being consumed, instead just give us rare bows with magical properties with endless ammo. Add a spell caster, improve AI.. The list goes on. //
Sorry there's just too many negative aspects that outweigh the good atm.
Hmm the music and sound effects remind me of being a kid and playing the old NES games. So nostalgic an kinda sad at the same time. I still play some of those games with an emulator. Anywho great game, short an fairly simple to master but 5/5 :)
Dubstep making my ears bleed after a while, more relaxed music woulda been better for a game like this imo. It's like the opposite extreme to playing death metal or something. Now wheres that mute button.....
Too luck based. More often than not its just irritating. We need better tools, like ways to distract guards etc to make it more about playstyle than the stars aligning
Good game, gave it a 5/5. All thats missing is a decent story line, the setting for it is great. Weapons are good, graphics, everything else was good. Only other thing is after playing it, it gets a bit repetitive. Would be nice if the bosses now were minibosses and there was a plot with bigger bosses to kill. Not to mention a few different ways to play, a few secret buildings in different areas so its not always the same missions over and over and i think it could be great.
I been waiting for a blacksmithing game. Great concept and has so much potential. For instance how about a talent tree to make xp and leveling more appealing, perhaps weapon specializations to choose a tree? Not to mention currency gained from producing weapons to spend on recipes. Possibly a haggling talent and system to help sell items at a better price - price determined by the type / quality of the weapon, forging different ores together for epic recipes (havnt got that far in the game so I'm not sure if that is already included). Even crafting our own set to go farm materials could be a fun addition. Anyway just a few ideas from the top of my head. Nice game.
After the first level it's pretty good and I'm enjoying it so far. The only gripe i have is with the sound effects, would be nice if you turn the sound of the helicoptor down a bit, it drives me mad till I turn sound off. Also a bit laggy and a speed up button woud be nice. I like the barricades to build maizes. Will give it a 4/5 for entertainment value but leaning slightly towards 3/5. Games like Kingdom Rush set the bar on TD a little higher. No offense though :)
