As soon as I realized they gave the ducks evolution stages like in Pokemon, I immediately thought of Psyduck. Although that only has one evolution, Golduck, instead of two, so... yeah.
I think the game is great, but I have some suggestions for a sequel.
1. Add way more than just two levels.
2. Add more enemies than just Goomba clones.
3. Maybe Joe could use a weapon as a special attack, like a hammer or a sword or something.
4. After each level, don't reset the upgrades all the way. Like, Level 1 starts off with everything at LVL 1/20, and then Level 2 starts with 3/25, and then Level 3 with 5/30 or something.
5. Add boss battles.
6. Add more power-ups.
This is just what I'd like to see in a sequel.
Well, I'm just glad that the slowness issue was an accident that was easily fixable, instead of something done on purpose. Now I can give this game the 5 stars it deserves. Even though the average is 3.84, I still like it a lot.
I liked it more when you got more prestige the more you leveled up. Like, you get one prestige point once you get to level 100, but more than 2 once you get to 200, and way more than 3 once you get to 300. Or something.
The new system makes it seem slower.
I like it a lot, but there's just one little problem. It doesn't do anything if you x-out of it like other idle games do. Sure, I figure it would be dumb to paint the pictures while you're offline, but at least let us rack up paint offline to buy more stuff.
Wait, I just figured out how to get bonus EXP in Hardcore mode. Kill enemies you already killed, but only those that match your level or higher. For example, at level 2, mice and bats will only give you 10 EXP if you haven't killed it yet, and none if you did, but spiders and slimes will still give you 1 EXP if you already killed it.
I like this game a lot, but I think there should be a way to increase toughness besides "Spite" before Floor 10. It's taking me forever to beat Floor 8 (right now, anyway), and I still have about 93% velocity when my toughness runs out. Either make "Spite" a little bit less expensive, or add another way to increase toughness at around Floors 7 or 8 or something. That's just me.
Also, I think you should make it just a little bit easier to gain PSI. Either that, or make the gains for the PSI upgrades go up exponentially (sort of) instead of linearly. Again, this is just me. Great game, though!
I don't know why, but when I start the game, the title screen is just a blank bluish-purple screen. There's nothing I can think of to do to fix it. Is this just me?
