I honestly didn't like this game, even though I liked the previous two.
I think the main reason was that the boss fights are horridly designed. They have way too much hp for a rinse-and-repeat design.
Also, some of the jumping was frustrating when you were trying to get into 1 tile high corridors. The hitbox was also somewhat larger than expected.
Keep up the good work.
There's a slightly humorous bug in this game.
If you die on the last unit of the last wave, you still get credit for the win...happened to me on the very last level. Haha.
Hmm...
Good game engine, but poor game design.
It is generally a bad idea to have your players beat the game, and then make them beat what is essentially the same game a SECOND time in order to "win."
Variety is the spice of life, this game has way too much repetition. Like Zelda, but without any sort of puzzles of motivation to keep going, as it is just a giant grindfest. :(
Not well thought out.
1. Pathfinding is horrid. Double clicking an enemy will half the time result in a very long path, thus making you waste that unit's turn.
2. The enemy does not appear to be hampered by resources. You, however, are. This makes an extremely uphill battle, that doesn't ever even seem fun.
