Tips for new players: Be open to the idea of using each tower type. Don't hoard your money, the money you get at the end of rounds is not a percentage of your total, but is a set amount based on what wave you are on. There is no 'best strategy' that works with every map and difficulty, so be ready to experiment. If you are new to tower defense games in general, take a peek at some 'level guides' that people have created to see where the experts place their towers - for instance, most people agree that AOE towers work best in corners where they can hit more balloons with their attacks.
Thoughts on things for next expansion:
Random encounters with friendly/enemy players (NPCs), friendlies give buffs, enemies are in the level range of current zone and attack
Buffs visible near character, each class gets one of their own for themselves, ONLY one
'Chat' window that shows experience and money gain from kills, could also use for friendly/enemy players, have them say something when encountered
Tweak bag and mount prices, would love bags to be cheaper scaling and mounts to be much more expensive scaling
First Aid profession, use cloth to make bandages, which reduce rest time (at a lower speed than bread)
People don't like paying for top-tier stuff. They will, however, pay for customization, alternate looks, and side quests or storylines. Also, the idea of stamina is fine, but it needs to regen faster. The fights could move faster. Other than that, the graphics are gorgeous and the game really seems fun.
We just changed the stamina to regen twice as fast, and I am currently working on combat speed. Hopefully I can get it going at a nice pace for you guys.
I looooove these games. I'm so excited to see the next chapters!! One thing I would love to see in the future is some sort of Repel item - Random adventures are fun, but they can be a bit frustrating when one is low on health and items, five steps away from a save stone, and runs into a pack of monsters. That is my only real suggestion, I think everything else is AMAZING, and I was stunned when I looked at the clock and realized I had been playing these three chapters for nearly ten hours.
A little rough, but you're obviously trying hard to develop these. Spend a little bit more time perfecting everything in your game before you release it, but definitely keep it up. :)
