Why does the bow occasionally freeze, making it impossible to aim?

Level 37 is a bit tedious.

How do you get 3 stars on level 17?

Something's changed in the last couple of days. In the later rounds, the bow just freezes sometimes. Also, aiming gets all squirrelly periodically. Drags and jerks. This wasn't happening when I played last week. Anybody else notice this?

What does it take to get 3 stars on level 24?

A scoreboard wold be nice, to track progress. Also, the torch hit counter seems to keep track poorly. I hit all of them repeatedly, but my score only increases by one or not at all. Great game.
