Neat game. As others have mentioned, AI is pretty questionable. Would make a great multi-player game.

I just lost a bunker (containing a machine gunner, engineer with over 20xp, sig and 2 medics), a tank, 2 snipers (one with 30+ xp, the other with 50+ xp), an officer, and a soldier with a BAR and 100 xp. And a spec ops I had just hired. All to one artillery barrage. I think 5 shells landed, maybe 6. One dead on the bunker, one dead on the tank, and at least two of them in the trenches where the troops were. I really don't have a problem with planes, as there are ways to deal with them, but there is absolutely no way to prevent that. Instantly loosing an hour plus game to a random, unpreventable event really takes the fun out of it.
