From what I could observe, the RP don't get added for the monster that drops them, but after the NEXT kill. So if you see a monster drop RP, you have to kill one more monster, at which point the RP get added to your rebirth count.
It seems that adding corruption gives better cube gain than increasing c10 completions. I only encountered very few times when the latter was the better option, and only for a short while.
If anyone still needs help with corruption: get your ascensions time down first, to 10-20s. Throw in a long run (1-2 days at most) to get expensive research and upgrade blessings. I started adding corruptions when I had completed the first 2-3 rows of cube upgrades.
Check your ascend history unter settings, and aim for optimal cubes/s. Only add a corruption if this increases cube gain.
I use following settings: Challenge sweeps with 0.3s, 0.25s, 0s and auto-sacrifice every 2s. This gets me an ascension time of 9s with corruptions currently levels 3-4
Tip for c13 (cost+++): It says that taxes scale with each challenge. I hit a brick wall until I realized it means ANY challenge.. so you want to start c13 and then complete ONLY c10 and no other challenge, because any other challenge completion increases your taxes.
I jumped to five completions instantly.
I don't know if this is a bug or just a result of frequent patching, so if you have been gone for a while and definitely want to keep your progress, you may want to wait for an official statement
If your game is stuck at "Loading offline progress", your savefile is probably too old and incompatible with the current version. You can delete cookies/site data to clear your progress and start over, or import a newer savefile, if you have been playing on a different device.
Ok sorry, I didnt see the difference at first. Cancelling the R-challenge sets the other challenge rewards to 0, but reincarnating immediately puts them back to max even without repeating them, which confused me. That makes the last research options useless for anything but reincarnation challenges, still doesn'tseem like intented behaviour to me.
Ok I'm not sure how exactly that works, it always shows e.g. 21/25 completions, which is my highest total completion, even immediately after reincarnating. If there is a difference to the actual current completion/bonus, do I see that number anywhere?
Either way, unless I am missing something, that shouldn't matter anyway. The issue is that I am getting different numbers, depending on if I reincarnate, or coming out of the challenge. I am not doing or repeating any other challenges in between. It should be the exact same starting point, since cancelling the challenge is basically the same thing as reincarnating. It's not a big deal if you know where it comes from, but it does seem like a minor bug.
@zaraki I bought the shop upgrade which instantly gets me up to my highest challenge, so thats not it either. I literally just press these buttons: enter higher tax challenge, cancel challenge, transcent: 400 mythos. Rebirth, transcend: 900 mythos
Something is buggy with the "Higher Tax Challenge".
I tried to complete level 5, couldnt reach it and cancelled. Afterwards in regular play I could only reach about half the mythos I got before. A regular reincarnate immediately fixed it, with the exact same upgrades.
I tried it several times to make sure. It seems that after cancelling the challenge, some of the high tax leaks through to regular play, until you do a normal reincarnate.
Tutorial is bugged, it returns from building menu after 2-3 seconds before I can place anything.. I get the short loading animation and back to the menu, where you have to press the "build" button
Awesome game, but it could use some more hints here and there.
Wyrms never produced any dragonblood for me, thought i had to feed them.
They eat steak, but it just turns them into cocoons which dont produce at all. Havent figured out either, what they need..
There should be some bonus from previous maps that carries over, that way it wouldnt feel like starting completely from scratch every time.. maybe like a form of global research.
Research times could also be more balanced. Higher tier ores should take a lot longer to upgrade, and lower tiers in high levels should be decreased. Its weird that silicon gets done in a few seconds, and iron, which barely does anything at that point, still takes 20 minutes
@Kwnart check if you have enough mana. Cost rises by quite a bit, and if you got rid of your mana-items and are sitting on your base stats, your mana pool might not be big enoughl to fire the more expensive spells
The permanent merchant shows up after some time, then you can hire him. After you buy the bags, you have to use them (double click), to actually get the extra slots.
Hm, interesting. I will try to understand why its happening like that, thank you for the details!
