I like to imagine that there's this community of survivors who have successfully kept out the zombies for months ... until some idiot with a giant truck drives through all their barricades.
Am I interpreting the intro montage correctly? Did Papa really pay off and fire his employee all in one go because he was being a jerk to the girl who smashed his car?
It would be nice if I could see both my inventory and what I was considering purchasing in the shop at the same time. It's annoying having to memorize the stats of an item, then going back to the store to see if that item is better.
Having played it a few times, I found it fun, but limited. It needs a little something more to keep long-term interest. For example, maybe a race against the clock as a rival corporation tries to dominate the world before you do. Or industrial espionage and counter-espionage as you try to steal each other's secrets. Something to add another layer of obstacles and complexity.
Didn't like the game much, but I love the "kill the monsters and take all their gold" outro music during the epilogue. Was gonna give it 2 stars, but I'm giving it 4 just for making me laugh.
It's a nice concept, but the controls are a little counter-intuitive. If you're going to have a 3/4 isometric view, and the character go NE, NW, SE & SW, why not use a different set of control keys (for example: 9, 7, 3 & 1 of the num pad or E, Q, C & Z of the keyboard)?
