what does rest do in combat? it costs a gem so i don't want to test it. Also, when you scroll down or move tabs while the enemy wave is advancing multiple enemies spawn in the same square, making it much harder
I went back to this game after the updates, but I found another bug that took the wind out of my sails. Again. I was at war with my close neighbors, the vikings, and I went to attack their city. When my troops were out, they launched an attack and took my city before my troops could return. Not only did my troops not attack when they returned, they joined the Vikings, and now I would have to fight my own army of 200 archers. I can't do it. I'll probably come back in a few days, but this really sucked. Hopefully you can fix it so no one else has to deal with it.
I think this game has a lot of potential, but there are a couple of things that bug me. Gold seems a bit strange. I wish I could spend it on things other than troops and buildings, because I seem to sit at max gold, unable to buy anything because things are already queued and the 50 archers in my queue aren't helping anything. Additionally, I have seen a couple other similar comments, but having my large army with a governor come back from a victory(but not capturing it because my army decided that the 2 warriors and 1 archer left in the city were too much for the 40 of them remaining) get lost and disappear when my other city tries to help prevent an ill-timed barbarian invasion. This game has a lot of potential, and I enjoy it, but the bugs make it difficult to play. It has definitely improved since I first played it but losing my army with barbarians on their way killed my motivation to continue playing.
Thanks a lot for your comment ! I will try to improve this. If you could send me a save export or just the number of troops in each side of the battle, that would be awesome !
I think it's funny that you are playing as the drone but the entire game I felt like I was the soldier. Mechanically it made sense that the actions I were making were the drone's actions, but I felt I connected more with the soldier during the cutscenes, soppy romance and all.
played for a couple of hours, got pretty far, kongregate crashes, I didn't save except for right before the first boss fight. I liked this game, but i don't feel like grinding it out again
Sorry for the loads of comments, I'm testing things out. I don't know if it helps you, and I don't know how to edit my comments or delete them, but I really enjoyed this game and want to help you figure out this bug in case you use this engine again. Refreshing the page reset the clone this time, so I was able to leave the porch. I will leave this as my last message for now so you can respond.
Thanks. I appreciate your thoroughness because I couldn't figure this out. However, I'm pretty sure it's now fixed, thanks to your help. I think the issue was that you were switching scenes before the current one had finished loading everything.
I replicated it after starting a new game. I went to the arrow between roadside east and roadside entrance, and spammed left and right on my arrow keys. Either by going straight back or by barely moving to the side and then going back, you end up not being able to go back through the arrow. Walking back to roadside west you see the clone stuck in the car if you were in roadside east, or, if you were trapped in roadside entrance, you can see a clone in driveway after walking north. The R key does take the other clone away, but it is still blocking the door, and you have to get him trapped to make him dissapear.
I was still stuck in the ending screen, so I deleted my cookies and it allowed me to start the game over. I am going to get back to about the same point in the game (and in other parts too) and try to replicate it, and see if it was a fluke
Additionally, even after refreshing the page, I started at first in the final room, then, after accidentally activating the glitch, every time I start the game, the final text blurb is playing, but I have a clone I can control around the screen. I love your game, but this is a pretty major bug.
I did further testing and came to this conclusion: Any time you walk out of a room while still on the arrow (not moving off of it before you turn around and head back) you get a clone, which blocks off some doors, and you have to find a way to get him trapped in an area that doesn't exist to get them to despawn.
I was on porch when it happened. But then I walked to Hallway East and the other guy got stuck in the wall above the door, then when I walked into Dining room the game went back to normal and I can continue playing now
Hey Dev, I found a bug. I was walking south through hallway to the area underneath, then found the red ghost. I instantly turned around, but found I could not walk through the door. When I went north to stairs I realized that there were actually two of my character, and the other one was blocking my way south. They are both controlled equally by my arrow keys. I don't know how it happened, but I like the game so far and am going to try to walk left and right and get him away so I can continue. I am in act two and have gotten, like, 4 ghosts I think
The clone bug is bothering me because I cannot replicate it. Even following your directions in your other comment, it just doesn't happen to me. However, I have rewritten the code that spawns the player, so hopefully that'll fix it. If you're still having problem with a clone, pressing 'R' will send them both to the same point.
Thanks for reporting, I'll check this asap !
