X4MHD ah you make me laugh thanks for the comment man! still thinking about re-working controls, i do like the ZX idea. The name was a mix of wanting to do something German themed, but wasn't expecting the backlash... it is endless level due to time constraints... as it's a school project. I'd like to add progressive levels at some point in the future.
Luftwaffe is a generic German term for an air force. It is also the official name for two of the four historic German air forces, the Wehrmacht air arm founded in 1935 and disbanded in 1946; and the current Bundeswehr air arm founded in 1956.
It's the German Air Force not Nazi's look at the marking they use the current German flag...
plays slow... but might be these crapy school computers.... other then that awesome! I'll check the speed out when i get home but it appears to be running at about 1/2 speed.

Thanks for the post... WASD support was there but i had to change the the other keys around... ctrl triggers hot keys on a Mac same with alt, Shift triggers sticky keys on a Windows box. so right now I'm stuck with arrows... got a suggestion for the fire keys?
As far as explosions, yeah going to add those shortly. It's a school project that was due today so it's lacking... a few things I'd like to have there. In two weeks I'll be out of school and hope to spend some time cleaning up graphics.

there is a shield that is up after every spawn and is also a power-up. as far as screen size, i might consider sizing it down from 800x800 but probably not... it's already sized down from original to fit on Kongregate :(

When i get a chance I'm going to see what i can do about collisions... Flash's square box collisions are an issue with the angled mobs... it all works fine, but graphically might be able to clean up by playing the animation another from or something so it looks like they collide.
