@bugcat, the only thing I can think of that increases fire rate is the prestige point battle time decrease. After the second ascension, battles can move at breakneck speed.
@bugcat The energy allows for more energy intensive mods to be put on a ship. Such as larger and higher level weapons and shields. Outside of the simple capacity to use these systems, it serves no other purpose that I'm aware of.
I don't understand why the cost divides your n(t) if it only returns the flat rate of r(t) increase. If it is going to divide it, wouldn't it make more sense in a strategic play way to return the actual quotient multiplied by r(t)?
Since progress is exponential, if the cost was substracted, your money would virtually 'never go down' e.g. it would take 1 second to make back the money you spent.
Oh good god, please let the disinfestation units stay active when infestation reaches zero. Automatically disabling them and then the player having to balance it out is a nightmare.
It would dramatically improve the game if you allowed people to select the parameters for the next world and see the exit requirements. All the level 100 worlds require like 700k nests to leave, and that just doesn't seem reasonable or fun to get to.
It would be cool if under the travel skill tree you could create bypasses that allow travel between controlled planets more quickly. Say if you have a direct throughway between Orpheus and Promision, it cuts travel time by half or something. It could be flavored as acceleration or warp gates, or just clear space so they don't have to worry about obstacles or enemies.
The algorithm for adjusting quests need some work so active players feel like their presence actually matters. The quests have at least one red component for almost all generations. Even clicking through 30+ options often won't yield one that is efficient. It's quite frustrating.
this will be addressed within the hour :) keep in mind advancing eras will reset the quest difficulties, but I'm also lowering the quest difficulty progression significantly
Not at the moment, no.
