When the game has issues connecting to the server, I completely lose the ability to do anything. The game will keep playing, but I'm completely unable to buy levels, stop or start progression, or click a level or anything. Could you guys possibly make it more background so that I can keep playing. Like the saved message just says it failed and keeps retrying in that little box, but I can keep doing whatever. I understand the loot message freezing the game (although imo, it'd be nice to be able to return to playing and see the loot you got when the server gets it across... maybe like an icon that appears on the side of the screen of some cards that you click and see what you got or something), just the autosave failing also freezing the game can really kill my ability to play when there's serious connection issues.

Hi Blackstream, It's on our to-do list to make the saving pop-ups less intrusive. We realize it's annoying for players with a spotty connection. And the game should be okay if you miss a couple of saves. I will ask it be bumped up in priority if possible.

I got another evil suggestion for you guys for an objective, every 5 levels, a set of characters are blocked from being used! Could also be implemented as debuffs to certain characters. A nicer version would be to also have buffs to other characters.

Interesting ideas. =)

Hey, great game, love the changes thus far and how active you are in the community and these comments! I want to make another suggestion, based on feedback I've seen. When you reset for the first time, there should be a star on the settings button by the two new options (pause on toggle and autoprogress), to let people know they've been added. Maybe even a popup. It's kind of hidden unless you know about it or think or know to look for it, especially since it's not there even greyed out if you look in the settings during your first playthrough.

Developer response from Codename_Enter

Glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for the feedback.

Couple of quick freemode like mode suggetions. To give people the ability to keep questing for rubies (in addition to dailies and idol grind), maybe make a endless mode campain type, where the you have to complete X level to get rubies. You get it ascend, then X goes up by like 50 levels or something the next time you run it. Maybe the ruby reward goes up too. So you could do endless for 250, then 300, then 350, etc. So there's always a reward. Also maybe the idea of objectives you can fail, where you have to just ascend without the reward if you can't accomplish the objective. Like a time trial (could be an endless version of this too) where you have to win before your first exp point or under 2 hours or something. Or a hardcore mode where you are forced to go forward after you complete a level, and if you die, you automatically reset with no idols (or switch into normal play), but the reward is pretty nice if you can get to the appropriate level without stopping.

Well, I've beaten the home world and made killing it the most efficient thing to do. Now to get to the point where I can one shot the planet and see if I can get cost reduction to 100% so I can buy as many upgrades as I want.

Just so everyone is aware, there's two major things everyone should know right now. A) AI spending is permanent but the cost to get a new investor does not change, so if you spend all your investors, you could effectly spend yourself into a hole you can't get out of. B) The cash earned bug is near as I can tell caused by the fix for super fast investments that would finish multiple times per frame but only credit you for one completion only applying to your actual cash and not cash earned. In other words, after you hit a certain speed point, further speed upgrades will only get you more cash, but they won't contribute towards cash earned. And since lemonade stands in the new update are by far and away the best money making tool, you could end up making money faster than your cash earned total by a factor of 10 or more.

Cash earned appears to not be properly tallying up certain things. My lemonade stands are generating something like an octillion a second, but the cash earned isn't taking into effect I think all of the silly upgrades I've got making that happen.

I got far enough (300 of everything + all upgrades up to second tier AI) that I can now just watch my angel investors go up continuously in the setting screen. It's pretty magical.

Yes, I have definitely confirmed there is something wrong with the offline timer. If I refresh after running the game for a bit, it appears to think I've been playing for a whole lot longer than I actually have.

I don't know what happened, but I hit refresh while the game was running and went from 2 quintillion to 7 quintillion. I hit refresh again but the game stayed the same. I don't know what caused the huge spike, but it was odd.

Oh god my angel investors. The update was so good for business I've gotten over 1000 investors lined up in the last hour or so O_O I'm not sure yet but I think the new multiplication investors might be sliiightly OP, but I do really like the investor upgrade, because it scales to your lategame.

I'm sure you know where you're going with this game in the future, but my suggestion would be a simple QoL thing, when you're mouseing over which tower to buy or upgrade to get, show a preview in the square you have selected that shows the range of the tower, including any supports that are or would be attached.

Top tier strategy, Max out initial mana and cut down, Initial money, double coins, tree money, all towers +exp, all good as well. Start game, take the mana well (or both), then the money wells with cutdown, place as many towers as you can, then just keep cutting down bushes as needed and placing towers. After the first few rounds, keep your mana over 200 (150 with perk) so you can always meteor. Don't even worry about upgrading your towers yet. You want the monsters to run through most of your towers so they get exp (all towers get exp is good for this too). Then just slowly upgrade all your towers up a tier as needed. Let your mana max out, the cut bushes for money, meteor anything that gets through. You basically end up making everything except the boss wave an absolute joke, so plan your upgrades around that final fight.

The level 21 upgrades are all insane. Strength upgrade is you shoot a spreadshot of lightning bolts across the screen that do 999 damage. Magic Upgrade is all magic attacks only use 1 energy (infinite dashes). Health upgrade is all damage is reduced to 1. Needless to say, the final boss was a joke :p

Took me a few hours to completely beat. Got every achievement except for the 5 or less resets, and I can't be arsed to go back and do the whole thing all over again. Got my Kongregate hard achievements anyways. Only help I needed was figuring out how to stop the thief from stealing the gem, which required me to replay a level I thought I had finished. Good game. Nice puzzles. Excellent example of complexity in a simple system.

Anyone that says don't research laser turrets clearly hasn't seen a t3 laser in action. They seriously trivialize the game. Gigantic range, instant hit, insane damage. 2 of them down will win you any map except 10, and I got to the final boss with just two laser turrets and waited for him to spawn so I could decide how to spend my 11k resources to take him down as fast as possible. The only tricky part is getting to the t3 upgrade, but 4 fully upgraded warships will get you there easily.

Hella fun game, very professional. My setup was Big Laser Cannon, Homing Cluster, Cockpit Light White, Chilling System, and Legs Spider White. I basically ran around the levels on hyper speed while annihilating everything on screen with my shoulder mounts. And the lasers were pretty. If you want to do survival, my recommendation is the energy shield + repair. You pretty much can't die.

Speaking as a developer, I'm all for making money off games, especially since I myself would like to do so in the future. But 150 kreds is about $15.00, and this game is -not- worth $15. You should have charged 25 creds (about $2.50), which is more worth it. People still expect flash games to be free though, but $2.50 is a lot more reasonable for the kind of game that it is. For $15, I'd expect quality art, much more interesting gameplay, and a much longer play experience. Just my 2 cents.
