Awesome game, one late game feature I'd add is speeding up the collector at the bottom, maybe all the dropped cubes trigger as soon is it's touched. I'm late in the game and the ground is just covered in squares and they're being picked up so very slowly
I like that feature. Maybe it can be an upgrade, For example. "Probability that the boxite touching the ground is collected inmediately and converted in a shot, or special shot." hmmm interesting. Thanks for the comment!
Awesome system, it feels like it's missing shields and wands though. Maybe staffs and robes should be much higher level; low melee use in exchange for better enchantment. If feels weird that all my most powerful wizards should have full quicksteel armor and duel wielding swords without epicly powerful staff and robes being a viable alternative.
I hate this game already, not even out of the tutorial and it FORCES you to spend half of your gems that you know are going to be the currency you pay money for. How does that make players feel? SCREW THIS GAME WITH A SCREWDRIVER is how. If you want to lose a lot of your potential players that's how you do it. "Oh it trains players to spend gems" no it doesn't, it lowers the number who make it past the tutorial. You really have to cut that crap out.
I like it! As it's in beta I thought you might like few suggestions:
1. The design feels like it needs to be separated into three separate parts like many web pages are, so the overall menu bar at the top, the secondary menu down the left and the content of the selected menu in a separate pane on the right. So making the main menu bar visible always and the left and right panes be scrollable separately.
2. Clicking on planets and research should bring the descriptions/options up on the right-hand side rather than underneath, you should be able to see the effect of clicking on a planet without scrolling.
3. When a planet is searched it might be better to grey the button and change the name to have (Explored) after the planet name. I'm assuming changing the flavor text to describe the amazing scientific things the player found there is on the to do list as explored areas still say it would be good to explore here.
There is a compacting option in Graphics Options, but I agree that the design is not well done on Kongregate. Until I fix this, I'd recommend playing here:https://sparticle999.github.io/SpaceCompany/ You can export your save or start again if you want.
I agree with the (explored) thing. That will probably make it's way into the next update. Yes, I am going to have an ultimate flavour text overhaul in the Lore Update V0.6. I think what this game is missing is a count of how many pixels are left to do, that would make it a much more logical puzzlegame I think, less guess work.
