Those deep earth creatures are really hard to kill, They also destroy traps. I was hoping I could catch one, but nope. I did get a critical hit on it from behind, but to flee and get back behind it is tough. I guess that's how to get the dragon blood. Anyway, I built a ship, and that was the end of the game. Oh. Ok. Just abandoned all my friends. Didn't even say good bye. I am a heartless bastard. In the game, also.
Hey Amos, just keep building a varied force, try to use those trenches, keep out of range of their units until u r ready, sacrifice some cheap units to lure their strong units into a trap. The AI isn't too bright. On easy and medium, no problem if u r careful. I haven't tried the hard level. I like actually winning the games I play.
Actually, I just tried out Slay, and I prefer the graphics of this one. I also like how in this one you can play specific countries, imagining you are back in the middle ages before these collections of principalities had actually amalgamated into current states, and you can try the different colour patterns configurations, and the degree of winning (50-100%). Slay does have a neat little thing about trees growing which you can harvest, although it is not clear how much you get from that. Thus it is not a rip off of another game, but one can say it is inspired by or takes after another one.
I found that the artifacts from first map dont function in second map, but the new artifacts eventually acquired in map 2 work in that map. this means for a while one has no functioning artifacts. All in all, fun, but it drags on a bit. Rather repetitive. But still fun.
Another glitch: although I login via register to stop the phantom ship glitch, when I finish all the first map and go to second map, the artifacts don't seem to be operating. For example, the equipped healing artifact no longer heals my units.
I like the game. One feature especially is the one on the ship that chooses what I assume is the best combination of units to deal with that specific island. However, I couldn't get very far, only around after taking island 12 or 15 or so, before I was attacked by a random ship that glitched out like for ScreenBurned11, and I was in the middle of the map. Had to start a new game, and the same thing happened again. Serious glitch with that. Too bad, as i enjoyed the game otherwise but now won't bother trying a third time unless that bug gets fixed.
I hit 6 floors, can't seem to get past that. i want to add a convention centre but don't want to destroy/ replace other facilities/ amenities/rooms. Hey, how did 42 dragons stalk a customer?
Red Viking says "you can beat the game 4 different ways." Ummm, what are the 4 different ways? Do you mean the part about make a constitution, or destroy the portal, or cure zombieism, or re-take the whole city? Myself, I would have though that stopping at less than all 4 accomplishments would have been pre-mature quitting. I go for all of the above, and then i consider the game as having been won.
The fires are unstoppable! The best I can recommend is to get out of their way. :)
