I am a Blue Spix Macaw (a rare parrot species) who lived in Moose Lake, Minnesota for most of his life, who was actually hatched in Rio de Janeiro, but when I was a baby, unable to fly, I fell out of my nest, and smugglers got me. In Moose Lake, Minnesota, on my way to Canada, I (crate and all) fell out of the transportation truck that I was in. Luckily, a young girl named Linda. I was still a baby at the time, as I remained her companion, not her pet, for 15 years. I was teased by 2 geese named Alice and Chloe, but I was not quite bullied. When an ornithologist came in, that’s when I found out that I was rare, the last known male of my kind. The ornithologist took us (Linda and I) to Rio de Janeiro (where my applausable birth took place) to a sanctuary to met my counterpart, Jewel, to save the species, so the Spix Macaw does not go extinct. As I could not fly, we couldn’t get along at first in the sanctuary. Then those rotten, dumb lug nut smugglers took us from the sanctuary. My companion Linda was heartbroken, and she searched the entire city for me starting the next day. Then we escaped from the smugglers. We had an obnoxious chain on our legs holding us together, though. New friends (Names: Luiz, Nico, Pedro, and Rafael) tagged along during our adventure, trying the best that they could to bring us together. Then it got progressively better, but an argument took place after the chain was removed by a bulldog named Luiz. Smugglers got her, so I went to find her at Carnaval (That is how it is spelled. I swear it is.). I found her, in a cage, hidden in a float with other caged birds built by the same smugglers that took us not long before. The smugglers owned a mean, cold, ruthless sulfur crested cockatoo named Nigel who helped with the smuggling by guarding the birds in the cages, preventing the birds from escaping. I got to that float by skateboarding to the float (Skateboarding is a hobby of mine), got to Jewel, as I was put in the same cage as her. The smugglers loaded us onto a plane, as Linda spotted me at Carnaval, so she (at the time) was driving the float the she had “borrowed” to the airport to come and get me. On the plane, I busted us out and Jewel and I opened all of the cages of rest of the abundant amount of birds (Including Nico, Pedro, and Rafael. I opened the back hatch of the plane (It was approximately 8,000 ft. above ground, although the plane was over the ocean at the time) as the birds (Except Jewel and I, I still did not learn to fly, one of Jewel’s wings got injured by Nigel while in the plane) flew out with joy. When Nigel was holding me down, I grabbed the fire extinguisher, hooked it to Nigel, and released the pressure as I said “Not cool, man. Not cool.” (Because he injured one of Jewel’s wings) The extinguisher flew around in different directions, taking him out of the plane. When he shook the extinguisher off, he was in the path of the plane. Nigel was hit by the one of the exterior propellers, stripping all of his feathers off of him, but he was not killed. The plane was gonna crash because of that, so the smugglers jumped out. Jewel fell out through the back hatch, so I jumped out and got her. Jewel said, “Blu, are you crazy? What are you doing?” I said, “We’re chained together birds, remember?” Then IT happened. I was shocked and amazed at what happened, I flew.
