I think there needs to be a lot more fuel available. Maybe refills from killing enemies, maybe more with upgrades. Below 1500 feet or so, even maxed weapons don't one-shot kill most fish. Given that there are a lot of them that come after you, and those energy balls they shoot, there needs to be a lot more fuel available for tactical movement like dodging. Even with maxed fuel I've not made it anywhere near 3000 feet yet, as I try to minimize damage and make money.
I think that the game might benefit from options for what you get with the fastbar. I think you should be able to choose if you want mostly EXP with just a bit of money, mostly money with just some EXP, or an even split.
Early in the game more money would have helped . . . I reached map unlocking levels long before I had the money to buy them. After level 40 or so though, that switched. Now at 56, I have a few million dollars in the bank and feel like it takes forever to unlock the next map.
Note I do not recommend conversion of money earned to exp (or the opposite) after it is earned, just a choice of proportion of exp to money as the fastbar reward.
I think the target practice game is much too fast for those of us that play on laptops without plugging in a mouse. I did notice that once you hit the target the next one does hold still for a moment to give you a chance, but it's not enough time if you have a track pad.
I like this. I continued playing after age 19, and have almost cleared all the dungeons. I maxed enchant, tailoring, and forging and made some great weapons and armor. You probably miss a lot of this game if you only play until you are 19. Keep going!
I don't think it's a "stay ahead of the left side of the screen" sorta game, there seems to be no penalty for slowing down, unless you get too slow to make a long jump . . . therefore running into the occasional object may in fact help - since it controls the acceleration.
What's wrong with a game having an element of luck?
Speak for yourself - I'd play this multiple times even if each attempt lasted several minutes. And as for dieing - did you notice the text when you die? I found reading what it said about how you died to be part of the fun.
4/5 - my only issue is that the acceleration is SO fast. Would have liked it to be a bit slower.
Good concept, but not well developed. This has a lot of potential, but there are only 12 levels and at least 3 of them are the exact same level: 2 towers with a single big block on top.
Started in Greenland
1) Pick Virus. 2) Start in any country with an airport or seaport - preferably at Australia 3) Sell starting symptoms (if any), other than sneezing . If you don’t have sneezing, buy it and airborne transmissions. 4) Buy 1-1-1-0 resistances. 5) Once your disease spreads to 3 countries, sell sneezing to get rid of visibility. 6) Wait until all countries are infected. If Madagascar closes or this is after day 30, restart. (took me many, many times) 7) Buy all 4 Drug Resistance and buy sneezing, coughing, vomiting. 8) After a few days, unlock tier 2-3 keeping whatever symptoms it gives you. 9) Buy fever, fatigue, diarrhea, pulmonary edema, hypersensitivity, and hemorrhaging. 10) Wait until everyone dies. Copy and paste this! keep it alive!its sooo good and it helps so keep this alive!!!
It's certainly not the hardest impossible badge, but there is a significant luck factor. I had no trouble with the Hard Badge, but have lost many, many times trying the challenges. And I only have like 9 done.
I think there is an issue with the card that makes your opponent discard a card.
It says "take another turn" . . . when the computer plays this against me, I discard, AND the computer plays another card. When I play it, the computer discards and I DON'T get to play another card . . .
Not a fan of the sub-par physics. Also, in the tutorial level, when you set the angle, it give you a numerical value for that angle. WHY is that the ONLY level where it happens? It could be handy for re-positioning after trying another angle.
Ok, a small complaint. From the pause menu, there should be conformation before accepting the 'return to map' option. I was on wave 12 or so and accidentally pressed it rather than return to game. Yeah, it was a stupid mistake on my part, but that's the reason for conformation - because people do stupid stuff all the time.
I don't think it's fair to rate a game this long before beating the first boss. Yes, the initial impulse is that it's slow - and that might loose it a point or two when you rate it, but overall it's a good game if you give it a chance.
Aeon - for your card problem. When I play at school, something about the network configuration won't let me connect to the chat server. I can play the game, but none of the challenges register. Might you have a similar problem?
