OMG!?!?! Getting to the dragon two times without seeing a divine edge... unreal... There are times I am rolling real good and will get rocked by the coyote for 3 hits in a row for 700 damage each or run out of life span because I can't afford it... I've tried tons of strats I can think of: 1) holding that first elixer as long as I can in hopes of getting the gold ticket early 2)holding that first elixer and mainly upgrading weapons until I am forced to use it 3) holding that first elixer and upgrading armour so that first heal will be very significant 4) balancing my weapon and armour upgrades..... my best runs happen when I get lucky with the gold ticket, but that is few and far between and not a viable strategy unless I had 50 hours to devote to this game. The RNG is wack. 5/5 could have been possible... so much potential...
Really, just a great game. Not too long, no grinding to level which is very refreshing for this genre of game. I am not even sure if you can grind, which makes each build especially unique. Replay value because of this is moderate to high. My only complaint, it was a too easy. I was a bow-rogue, and upgraded as much as I could along the way. I think a dagger-rogue would've been more challenging. I think there was only once early on in the game where I was close to dieing (both characters). Maybe you can play around with the health potions and either not have them so accessible, only able to use one per battle, or have them heal for less. Even so, I bought a bunch at the beginning of the game and didn't really need to use many. Still 5/5. Look forward to more!
only a sucker would pay for this game... heck even most EA games are garbage and not worth buying (at least for PC)... why do you think people would pay to play?
Level 5 build order: (1) Bank (2) Special Ops (3) Armoury (4) Outpost. ¼ base health left and shot off 2 or 3 missiles. Build the bank, special ops, armoury, and outpost back to back from the beginning. When you get the special ops start collecting influence and keep it collecting. You will need to fire a couple missiles off after the first wave as your base is getting destroyed. When you build the armoury have it collect money until the outpost is built. You might need to build a few marines in the beginning (shift-click) to take the fire away from you base (especially if you didn't aim your missiles efficiently). After the outpost is built put the armoury to collect reinforcements. Pump out Groditz forever. During all of this, you have been collecting influence so use it to get A27. Keep them close to your base along with the Groditz. Keep pumping out Groditz & A27 until you feel you can take their base. The ally should be producing enough units so your guys aren't taking many hits.
