For those confused about 24, it's all about pairing the squares that lead to the same destination. Those destinations are always blank spaces, so make sure to check which ones match up.
15 was just click on a square to start, then go to and click on the square it leads to (make sure to count the empty spaces as one space and not an empty one).
Tier 11 Crew Size and Tier 16 Hull. I'm aware now that this probably past the intended max level, but this was due to saved data before the update that carried over.
Sorry about that! Yea I rushed out an update last night because so many people were reaching the endgame and getting crazy numbers so I capped the levels. I did add in a Reset Data button in the settings but I wish I had a more elegant solution. I'm super appreciative of the people that spent a long time in the game to make it to the end including you.
I'm currently at -6691 gold. Before the updates, I was somehow allowed to move while using the boat menu, and was attempting to upgrade my boat. It failed to update (at that moment) what I was getting, but subtracting the gold nonetheless. Once I closed and opened it again, it was upgrading, but my gold was in the negatives. Now I'm in debt.
Looks like Turtle is supposed to lower your speed by 1 every time you beat it, and the Bat is supposed to increase it by 2 every time you beat it. The opposite is happening for both; is this intentional or just a case of mixing up the negative/positive signs for them?
Noticed that TAB changes the graphics to what looks like an older style? Not sure if this is something that is found in the game (if it is, it must be a well hidden book)
Hidden feature. At some point in developing I made an alternative version of the spritesheet just to test how it'd look in a different style, I didn't like it but I also didn't want it to go to waste, so there you have it :)
It seems to be a common thing to put yourself in a position where you cannot progress, regardless of whether you max out your level through tedious grinding, or take a death. Although there's key for every door, the levels are set up where you can get locked out and have to completely start over as a result.
I wonder what happens if you let the timer hit 0:00:00 on Chapter 8... Then again, you would have to wait 14.5 hours of leaving this game on (probably focused on the game as well). Would there be a scene resulting in the death of the contestants? Will the timer just stop at a certain point just to get you to move on with the story? Will another contestant force the text through instead? So many questions, yet something like this would be interesting to follow through with.
By circumvent the need to buy stuff (as the game wouldn't let you progress without buying stuff if you have the cash for it), I mean refresh the game before moving to the next one. It saves your progress regardless of whether or not you buy stuff, so just food for thought :P
here's a thought... what happens if I perfectly finish every level (to unlock the ending), but choose to circumvent the need to buy everything? What would happen? (Unsure if the game might crash since I failed to buy anything)
yeah, giving the pyrite to the dragon causes it to disappear, and since I never asked for more details on the sword of succor, the game becomes impossible to finish.
I tried going for making the 'golden sword' early without asking about the sword of succor... lost the pyrite to the dragon and essentially softlocked the game (cannot progress anymore)
surprised to see that others started with -10 farthings... I started at zero, so I didn't have any issues... Unsure if a patch was added recently or if I just lucked out
