I really can't understand what energy systems add to any game?, is it to limit / control how much your players play your game? if so why would any dev want that? (not trying to be a dick about it just curious sorry)

at chaosguard: no it doesn't. for example: energy 1k/1k(100%) using 10% button for cap upgrade (lets say 1 energy gives +10 max energy) -> 10% of 1000 =100 *10 =1000, new energy: 900/2000 (45% and not 90%). hope this helped you to understand.
