If the ad doesn't show, you should just give the "reward" anyway. The user upheld his end of the bargain. The truth is nobody likes ads, nobody watches ads, anyway. Ads are the opposite of fun. Ads are not a great place to eff around with try again mechanics.
It seems that ads are much harder to implement in browsers compared to native mobile apps, because all the ad blockers etc. browsers have nowadays. The thing is, that I have no influence on the shown video, so I can't fix it myself. I wanted to remove the ads already completely, because they do more harm than good, but some players convinced me to keep them.
Watch an ad to jump forward 30 min! --> You try it. It fails 17 times in a row to display at all. You finally get an ad on the 18th try and watch the stupid commercial. Now it never refreshes to say you get the reward, which at this point is not a "reward" it's just, you know, the contractual obligation you're owed. "Ad wasn't shown correctly, try again!" NO QUIT BUSTING MY BALLS IT'S YOUR GODDAMN FAULT
In China they have that fuerdai thing where uber rich kids have no sense but all the money and they pay people to spend their money. These developers are starving uneducated common folk just trying to make a shot at the Chinese Dream: making an honest living off of dishonest and badly designed games. Don't blame them, blame simple economics! Good job developers! As for my rating your game is awful 0/5.
I have been here for a long time. And in my time, I have seen some promising games. This one strikes the strangest balance between promising content and one of the top 10 worst UIs I've come across. I like simple graphics but the UI is just... awkward. If your game is a 5x5 grid, just show us the grid! Why hide it in a squinty rectangle for no fun reason?
I have tried to play this game. It does not save. Yes there are work arounds. I tried them. Then it saved. But then it stopped offline progress. Now it doesn't do either. It seemed like a cool game but the developer really should just simplify how this thing saves and progresses offline. It shouldn't be this complicated, ever.
[7] Setup has failed: Loader bypassed.
Doesn't work on Chrome or Safari. I don't use Opera anymore for a reason. Rating this 5 stars just to screw with people.
Usually if the game won't save, the problem is your browser blocking third-party cookies. Are you using Safari or any privacy-related browser extensions? Make sure "www.swarmsim.com" has permission to set cookies (localstorage).
You know, for it to be legal it has to be more than just "licensed"... it needs to be licensed by the right entity... but Shuueisha has nothing to do with this little doozy....
Doesn't look legal at all. You say you have the rights but a franchise this large on a game that fails to load, and you don't even have their logos or anything? Verrrry dubious
