Pigs can go backwards through the arrows? Would've been a nice piece of information to have. Because of the unprecise controls I figured I had to loop the pig in level 6 to get it through. Because who'd think that the game rules don't apply to the pig?

I believe the tutorial is not for us to learn the game... but for the game to learn our timings. After a couple of times of missing the notes, the detection felt better and better until it was pretty good actually (with no change of my own timing).

It would be great if there was a way to skip the non rhythm parts of the songs. I don't really want to listen to 20+ second intros when trying to increase my rank.

Maybe for a second part... add the need to turn the numbers the correct way. Would actually require more spatial thinking as the way it is of now can mostly be solved with Sudoku skills.

The music sounds familiar... I think it was written by Kevin Bacon.

Once you get "Parting Gift" (grey, while in effect any unit killed deals 1 point of damage to its enemy's portal) you can pretty much build an unbeatable deck only made out of gold mines, two or three crystal mines, parting gift and cheap units to send against the enemy to be killed. You can also put in instant soul givers and as many "Siege Engines" (grey, deals 10 points of damage to enemy portal) as you have/want. Game pretty much becomes trivial that way.

I probably overread something somewhere... but what the hell is an elemental round?

The pixel art was quite nice, nice contrasts between the darkness and the vibrant colours of the light sources. I also enjoyed the no-weapons-concept. I have to admit that at around lvl 3 I kinda got bored, continued through anyways though. The ending(s) seemed unsatisfactory after the story tidbits from the stone tablets aswell, some kind of climax would've been nice.

Well, yes, it's not a game per se, but rather an interactive story. Still has a place on this site, I think. The artwork reminds me of a kids book, as does the moral. Sure, could've made it a movie, but I feel controlling the character adds emersiveness to the story. Gave it 5 stars... just cause I'm a sucker for this type of thing ;)
