The Prestige Now button broke for me - I think there's a chance my browser started blocking that confirmation pop-up box. I think there should be a way to turn off the Prestige confirmation in the Options for folks with... sensitive browsers. For now, without being able to Prestige, this game is kind of prematurely over for me.

The shift-click-to-dismantle isn't working for me... Using Firefox and Windows 8. Tried both left and right shift.

Amazing concept! Can't wait to see what the full game can do with this kind of mechanic!!

"Earn to Die"? What does that even mean? It sounds like if you're saving up enough money to pay for your own euthanasia.

The lag gets worse the longer you play... Closing my browser and coming back to Kong seems to help a lot.

arrrrgh! Why is R for Calibrate and C for reset!? (Yeah, I know, that's just what I was thinking in the moment... Yes, I cleared my data right at the last level..._

Developer Reply

hahaha it was R for Recalibrate and C for clear! OK it was a bad decision, I admit :P Will make it 'HOLD C for 3 seconds' to clear!

This game has so much content we all would have paid $40 for this in the SNES era. Easily.

Got the hard badge after beating Island No. 29... Still played to beat 30, because I just loved the game!

I would definitely pay money for an "extended" version of this game with Sandbox mode, more missions, and the land textures tightened up a bit to make elevation more obvious (I frequently think north-facing downhills are actually uphills)... maybe where you place your cursor should show a number somewhere on screen that represents elevation on that point? Anyway, I'd pay $20 easily for a slightly extended version of this game.

Not a bad start at all. The mechanics are all working, which is further than I've ever gotten on any of my projects. As for the direction of the game. You're on a good track to make a pretty creepy/surrealist game - and that's a great thing. I know I jumped a bit when I turned around and one of those taller enemies had been literally breathing on my neck. Give them some creepy noises that only happen when they're really, really close to you! For inspiration, you absolutely must play Mondo Medicals. It's one of the creepiest, surrealist games I've ever played, and it's also a simple first-person game (it's free. Google it. You know you've found it when you're on the weirdest pink website you've ever been on - cactusquid.com)

This game deserves at least 3 badges. And I don't want to hear the "Kong API" excuse, because there was an item for this game a week ago.

Developer Reply

Kong is afraid of Nintendo getting mad and forcing the game off the site if they add badges (which is what happened with SM Crossover). I say they should risk it. Gamers unite! Raise a stink in forums, write emails to Kong staffers, write a letter to congress! Get badges on this game!

Loved it so much, I got the app on the iPhone for free, then quickly upgraded it for $0.99. So worth it! haven't put it down since!

I liked it a lot. It reminded me more of Fallout 1 & 2 than anything. My only complaint is that it was far too easy. if you just think before you act, you'll never die.

I spent the first five minutes writing different names on the line just to see how cool the font made those names look. I love the capital "A", especially.

It's the Tremors game you didn't know you wanted!!

I was very disappointed by what the twist turned out to be, but other than that, I guess it was entertaining. Originally I was hoping the "prime suspect" would have been framed or something more interesting, but it was still fun for a point-and-click.
