Full starred hard mode, same team all the way through except one floor in the 3s (mayataz, lightina, betehulk, megalotron, cerberus). Generally a very cool game. A few tips: use DoTs to get through reflectors/taunters, make sure you've distributed your speed and attack properly from both gems and stars (only take as much speed as you need for any given fight), and if you need to you can use gems and your % speed boosts in minion trees to manipulate your turn order. Also, you will definitely need a group speed booster. There are some enemies you need 1000+ speed to overcome. Don't be afraid to use moves that exhaust you because really in hard you more or less need to clear everything out immediately. That's basically it - have fun!
Excellent game. Just finished perfecting the 3rd floor in hard on my way up, which was actually pretty difficult and required some strategy. Been rocking a megalatron, cerberus, lightina, betehulk and mayataz team for the entire thing except once I had to replace cerberus with that fire boar to outspeed that group of 5 cheetahs who all buffed each other's speed and only used the stunning attack. Looking forward to seeing what insane fights await me deeper in.
While it lacks the crisp control of "The Fun Room" or the stunning graphics of "Halloween Girl Dress up", Cheese-Eating Cat brings us a character that I think we can all identify with. Trapped in a hellish alternate reality, our hero, Cheese-eating cat, must overcome his considerable handicaps (cerebral palsy, blindness) in order to find the cheese he so craves. Does he get what he so desires? Play to find out - all I'll say is that the ending will leave you wanting more!
I'm a bit confused about the 3 click-boxes puzzle, and I needed to use the walkthrough for it. The first bit makes sense but the last part not so much.
Actually after doing a bit more checking, all of those attacks I mentioned (except cyclone, which is definitely attack) seem to not be based on either of your attack or magic stats in terms of damage. I don't know what the damage is based on - maybe level?
I went ahead and tested crit - I took my level 60 characters, geared them for crit (crit over 200) and went back to the first floor. Regular attacks still never crit. The attacks that I mentioned earlier - unstable explosion, rocket launcher, silence attack, tranq shot, burst, poison attack, cyclone, poison nova, and darkness attack - again, these were the only attacks that crit (they did so pretty much 100% of the time). They have a few commonalities - they're all physical based. All of them except cyclone inflict a status effect. Maybe you have crit flagged as a status effect and only attacks with the qualities 'physical' and 'status possible' will crit? That doesn't explain cyclone though, unless you originally had it causing status and removed it while leaving the flag, so I don't know. I don't actually think this is a problem, I don't want to see omnislash or quake critting when they already deal thousands of damage.
Well, evade and crit stats do in fact do something. Evade only works against regular physical attacks. As for crit, there are just a few special attacks that can crit: silence attack, tranq shot, burst, poison attack, cyclone, poison nova, unstable explosion, rocket launcher, and darkness attack. There might be one or two others I missed. Regular attacks never crit. As for speed I don't see it doing anything near as I can tell.
Okay a slight revision to what I said earlier about the jelly feeding pattern:
-Shiny bone x5: mostly legendary armor and helms
-Broken armor x5: mostly legendary weapons
-Wolf's Blood x5: sort of a mix but these seem to be the best bet to get legendary rings
-Feather x5: mostly permanent stat up potions
For any of these, if you have bad luck you can wind up with some monster attack discs. Just save before you feed your jelly and try again if you get something you don't like.
Good game!
5x shining bone ('armored' skeleton enemies) will get you legendary helms and armor
5x broken armor (samurai enemies) will get you legendary weapons, armor, one rings, and sometimes permanent stat potions.
Unholy Temple tip: gear up for damage +, equip the nymph's spellbook, take sneak attack, endless rage, fool's gold and a storm spell or two. You can get hundreds of damage in pretty quick that way by chaining weapon attacks when you get enough rage and poison mana.
First off, this is a great game; I just wanted to preface with that. And now to the nitty gritty, I've noticed two glitches, one substantial and one merely annoying.
-The substantial glitch has to do with the music, it looks like when the music fades out for a victory or crafting fanfare, it doesn't fade out all the way. Then you wind up with a quiet instance of music in the background. Eventually you can get many layers of this, which slows down the game and seems to eventually crash it after crafting by disabling buttons. (this may be the cause of the crafting glitch people are talking about).
-The second glitch has to do with egg discarding. Sometimes you choose to discard one egg and it discards another one entirely.
Crit is calculated with enemy level.
